Information About Entry Permits Issue by Immigration Department of Malaysia

Any foreign national who is not a Malaysian citizen who intends to enter and reside in Malaysia as a permanent resident may apply for an entry permit according to Section 10 of the Immigration Act and Section 4 of the Immigration Regulations 1963.

The entry permit is issued in the form of a document.

Besides passport and other travel documents, the immigration office also issues Entry Permit based on four (4) categories as listed below:

• Investors and Experts (A1)
• Professional (A2)
• Spouse of Malaysian citizen and child /children of Malaysian citizen below age of 6
• Point System
