Malaysian Passport Blacklisted Check
As reported by The Star on 14 Mar 2016, as more than 820,000 Malaysians have been blacklisted from leaving the country, Malaysians can now check their current immigration status by logging into the Immigration Department of Malaysia's online checking system.
Malaysians can follow these simple steps:
1. Visit https://sspi.imi.gov.my/SSPI/
2. Enter your IC number in the text field.
3. Click the “Semak” (Check) button.
4. View your status.
If you are not barred from leaving Malaysia, the status will appear as
“Tiada Halangan” (No Restriction).
An alternative method to check your immigration status and to find out which
government agency has issued the blacklist order is by calling the 1Malaysia
One Call Centre (1MOCC) at 03-8880 1000.
Malaysian Passport Blacklisted Reasons
Malaysian passport holders can be barred from travelling
abroad for various reasons, the order may from:
• Inland Revenue Board (IRB)
•
Insolvency Department (Bankruptcy)
• National Registration Department (NRD)
•
Employees Provident Fund (EPF)
•
Royal Malaysian Customs (Business tax)
• Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM)
•
The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
•
National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN)
•
Court Order and etc.
