Malaysia Passport

Malaysia Passport is a valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of traveling abroad. Malaysia Passport is the property of The Malaysian Government and may be withdrawn at any time if the Immigration Department is satisfied that the passport is used contravene against the Passport Act 1966. The holder is fully responsible for the security of the Passport.

Eligibility


Malaysia citizen only.

Where to Apply

Any Immigration Office in Malaysia or Malaysian Representative Office abroad.

Validity

Valid for five (5) years from the date of issued. Biometric passport cannot be modified due to the 'write once' policy by ICAO.

Renewal of Malaysia passport for the new passport that has a validity of 6 months or less, the new one will have 5 years validity plus maximum 6 months remaining validity in the old passport.

Fees


According to the age and condition as below:

Normal price : RM200.00 (Valid for 5 years)

Discounted / Half price : RM100.00 (Valid for 5 years)

Condition for Discounted / Half price: Senior citizens (60 years old & above), children below 12 years old and student below 21 years old with proof to study abroad on the day submission, Haj pilgrims with proof from Tabung Haji or Authorized Agency.

Exemption of Payment

Exemption of payment is given to the handicap or disable person (OKU) on the condition that they produce a OKU card from the Social Welfare Department.
